Terms of Use

These terms are the agreement between you and Filone Inc. (“we”, “us”), which operates A Time To Shop at atimetoshop.com. Read them before you rely on anything here.

Accepting these terms

By using this site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, stop using the site. If you are agreeing on behalf of a company, you confirm you are authorised to bind it.

What this site is

A Time To Shop publishes editorial content: research, comparisons, buying guides and reviews covering business software and productivity tools, business banking, accounting and business credit, home and kitchen, tech and electronics, outdoors and travel, baby and kids, pets. It is an information service. We are not a shop for the products we write about, we are not a party to any purchase you make from a merchant we link to, and we do not act as your agent, adviser or representative in that purchase.

How we make money

We earn affiliate commission when a reader buys or signs up through a link on this site, at no extra cost to the reader. Paid links are labelled next to the link itself, and the full picture is in our affiliate disclosure. Commission does not buy a recommendation or a ranking.

Third-party products, merchants and fulfilment

Everything we recommend is made, sold, supported and warranted by somebody else. When you follow a link you contract with that merchant on its terms, not ours. We are not responsible for its prices, stock, delivery, billing, support, warranty, returns, data handling or conduct, and we cannot resolve a dispute between you and it. Prices and availability change constantly and are correct only as of the moment we wrote them down.

Where this site offers branded merchandise, the items are produced and shipped on demand by Printful, a third-party print-on-demand supplier. Printful manufactures the item, packs it, ships it, and handles the physical side of returns and replacements. We do not hold stock, we do not manufacture, we do not ship, and we do not process returns ourselves. We design the product and present the store; Printful fulfils it. Production and delivery times, and the outcome of any quality claim, are therefore determined by Printful's process rather than by us.

No warranty

The site and its content are provided “as is”. We research carefully and correct mistakes when we find them, but we do not warrant that the content is complete, current, accurate or fit for your particular situation, and we do not warrant that the site will be uninterrupted or error free. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We give no warranty whatsoever on goods or services sold by third parties; any warranty on those comes from the seller or manufacturer.

Some states do not allow the exclusion of certain implied warranties, so parts of this section may not apply to you.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data or lost goodwill, arising from your use of this site or your reliance on its content, even if we were told such damages were possible. Our total liability for any claim relating to this site is limited to one hundred United States dollars, which reflects that we provide this content to you free of charge.

Nothing here excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded, including liability for fraud or for our own wilful misconduct.

Content ownership

The text, photography, graphics, layout, code, name and logo of A Time To Shop are ours or our licensors' and are protected by copyright and trademark law. You may read, print and share our pages for your own non-commercial use, and you may quote a short extract with attribution and a link. You may not republish our content in bulk, resell it, present it as your own, or use it to train a machine-learning model, without our written permission. Product names, logos and images belonging to the brands we write about remain theirs, and appear here for identification and commentary.

Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• scrape, crawl or copy the site at a rate or scale that burdens it, or bypass any technical limit we put in place;
• attempt to gain unauthorised access to the site, its infrastructure or its data;
• submit an email address you do not control, or otherwise subscribe someone else;
• generate artificial clicks on our outbound links, or interfere with referral tracking;
• use the site for anything unlawful, or to harass or defraud anyone;
• impersonate us, or suggest we endorse you or your product when we have not.

We may block access if you do any of this. Automated clicks are also filtered before they are recorded, so this is not merely a request.

Links out, and content from others

We link to sites we do not control and do not endorse by the mere fact of linking. Where the site carries comments or other material submitted by readers, we are not the publisher of that material and may remove it at our discretion.

Email list

Subscribing is voluntary and you can unsubscribe from any email we send. We may end the list, or remove you from it, at any time. What we store when you subscribe, and for how long, is in our privacy policy.

Changes to the site and to these terms

We may change, suspend or withdraw any part of the site without notice. We may also change these terms; the current version is always the one on this page and the “last updated” date above tells you when it changed. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the new version. If a change is material we will not apply it retroactively to a dispute that already exists.

Governing law and where disputes are heard

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and we agree that any dispute arising out of these terms or your use of the site will be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in the State of Florida, and each of us consents to the personal jurisdiction of those courts. Nothing here prevents either of us from bringing a claim in small-claims court where it qualifies.

The rest

If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, the rest stays in force and the unenforceable part is limited to the minimum extent needed. Our not enforcing a term on one occasion does not waive it. These terms, together with the policies they link to, are the entire agreement between us about the site. You may not assign them; we may assign them as part of a transfer of the business.
