Disclaimer
A Time To Shop publishes general information to help you make a buying decision. It is not advice about your particular circumstances, and it is not a substitute for the seller's own documentation or for a qualified professional.
Accuracy, and its limits
We research carefully and cite our sources, but specifications change, firmware changes, products are revised without a new model number, and sellers alter what is in the box. Everything on this site is accurate to the best of our knowledge as of the date shown on the article and no later. We give no guarantee that it is complete, current or error free, and we do not accept liability for a decision you make in reliance on it. If you find something wrong, tell us and we will correct it.
Prices, discounts, stock and shipping terms are the merchant's and change without notice. Any price mentioned here is a reference point from the moment we looked, not an offer, and the price at the checkout is the one that counts.
Editorial independence
We earn affiliate commission, which is set out in full in our affiliate disclosure. It does not decide what we cover or what we recommend. Nobody outside our editorial team approves an article before it is published, and no brand has the right to review, alter or veto what we write about it.
What we mean by testing
We are explicit in each article about how we reached our conclusions. Where an article is based on hands-on use, it says so and describes what we did. Where it is based on desk research, which means manufacturer specifications, standards documents, independent measurements published by others, and patterns in verified owner reviews, it says that instead. We do not describe research as testing, we do not present a specification sheet as a measurement we took, and we do not invent a test we did not run. Where we have not verified a claim ourselves, we attribute it to whoever made it.
Ratings and scores, where we publish them, are our editorial judgement on the evidence we describe. They are opinion, not measurement, and reasonable people can disagree with them.
Not financial, tax, legal or professional advice
Some of what we cover touches on business banking, accounting software, business credit and similar financial products. Nothing on this site is financial, investment, tax, accounting or legal advice, and nothing here is a recommendation to enter into any particular financial product. We are not a bank, a lender, a broker, an investment adviser, an accountant or a law firm, we are not registered or licensed as any of those, and reading this site does not create an advisory or fiduciary relationship between us.
Financial products carry terms that depend on your circumstances: rates, fees, eligibility, credit consequences and tax treatment all vary, and the provider may change them. Read the provider's own disclosures, and take advice from a licensed professional who knows your situation, before you commit to anything. Applying for credit may affect your credit file.
We make no representation about the business results, savings, revenue or growth you will get from any tool or product we cover. Outcomes depend on your business, and we do not publish earnings claims or income projections.
Third-party content and links
We link to manufacturers, standards bodies, retailers and other publications. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for what they say or do, and a link is not an endorsement of everything on the page it points to. Product images, names and logos belong to their owners and appear here for identification and commentary.
Not a seller, and no warranty
We do not sell the products we write about. Any warranty, guarantee, support obligation or right of return comes from the seller or the manufacturer under its own terms, not from us. The limits on our liability are set out in our terms of use.
Corrections
If something here is wrong, we want to know. Email filone@atimetoshop.com with the page and what is inaccurate. Where we correct a substantive point after publication we note the change on the article rather than editing it silently.
